ACRA has been formed to provide a voice to the recycling efforts of many group and individual printer cartridge refilling operators. The key message is "refill not recycle", despite the green overtones generated by the term "recycling" nothing could actually be further from the truth. A printer cartridge can be refilled many times and provide the same quality and lifetime of operation for the user. Recycling a perfectly good cartridge is wasteful and can use as much as 3 litres of oil to create a new one. ACRA perform a fantastic service to not only their members but also by promoting these facts bringing this awareness into the market in an attempt to change the publics buying habits in order to reduce environmental impact...

We were initially approached by David Lewis of ACRA to assist them with developing a new look and feel for the original ACRA site. The original ACRA site really served it's purpose in the opening stages of the organisation but with membership exceeding 200 businesses they also needed further functionality

David had also gotten the ACRA message into senior levels of local and federal government both here and in New Zealand, and many blue chip corporates that required a much more professional looking and functional web presence

  • Limited functionality within the original CMS restricted their message
  • Previous CMS was confusing and difficult to update
  • Previous design devalued the organisations truth worth in the eyes of their visitors
  • It proved difficult for members to interact with the organisation

The Australian Cartridge Re-manufacturers Association needed a web presence that gave the association credibility in their industry
